Workshop – Supervised machine learning – Entry level
The goal of the workshop
The workshop aims to introduce students to the basic principles of supervised Machine Learning using the potential of the Python programming language and its scikit-learn library. A pipeline of a binary classification project will be analyzed in detail using logistic regression, starting from the preprocessing of data and arriving at the evaluation of the model’s performance.
How does the workshop take place?
The workshop takes place in a single 2-hour session via video call made using Zoom with the entire class of participants. It can therefore be attended comfortably from home. The language will be English. The event will consist of a theory part shown on slides and of practical activities carried out by students in Python language using the CoCalc collaborative software development tool.
What is the maximum number of students?
The workshop is aimed at a maximum of 10 students.

Basic knowledge of the Python language is required, as the practical exercises will be carried out by writing code in this programming language.
